I agree. It's kind of disturbing to me frankly. Adding a "just speculation!" or "jmo" doesn't really do much if you're the person being speculated as a murderer of a teenage girl. I think about how many people don't call the police about suspicious things they see or just don't want to get...

Nice to see she has her name back. Kudos to her friends who cared about her after all these years, and helped solve this mystery. RIP Holly

You can still make a good, positive ID with dental records, and faster than with DNA. When the McStays were found, they ID'd the adults and one child, I believe, through dentals very quickly because all 3 had dentals for comparison, but they had to wait a bit longer to positively ID the youngest...

Wow, Emily Jordan does look a lot like the reconstruction drawing of her. I also think the thought that she may have found the ring at a flea market or vintage store and liked it because it had her initials in it. Have you submitted this one, Carl?

Teresa seems too old and too tall. Also, she had cross-like scar on her hand that wasn't present in the UID.

I know this is from over a year ago. I was wondering if anyone submitted her. She looks a lot like her to me.

I read this whole thread from start to finish, and wow, what a turn it took recently. The photo of Holly and the recon of DPJD look so much alike to me, especially the nose and the spacing and shape of the eyes. The combination of that, and the timing and circumstances of her disappearance make...

Yeah, that hypothermia cod is weird. I wonder where that information came from. I didn't see anything about that in the article I read online about the case, which was written in about 2008, I think.

I am so sorry for your loss, EileenMary. I hope you and others who loved your beautiful sister can have some measure of peace now.

Identified! AR- West Memphis -"Laundry Lady" WhtFem 643UFAR, 45-60, Sep'87 No Name Available

For someone this age, I sadly lean toward the belief that she was never reported missing. She could have been someone who was transient or itinerant for years, little to no family, and/or what family she did have knew that she commonly took off for long periods of time, so never would have...

I just spent tonight reading through this entire thread. It's inspiring to see all the effort so many people have made to identify this girl. Very sad that she is yet to get her name back. One thing I was thinking was that her shoes don't seem like the type of shoes one would wear if they were...

TX TX - Thomas Blake, 30, Big Spring, 1 Aug 1987

FWIW, someone posted in the NV UID thread mentioned above that JD was reported missing (appparently by her mother) with a last seen date in May 1991. That's almost 4 years after Thomas disappeared. http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/2029dfca.html Based on her dob, she would have only been 16 when...

Well, the contact on John's NamUs page emailed me back that she would look into it. Nothing from Miami Homicide. I guess that's why they say you should contact people on both ends. I will update if I hear anything more.
