There is a part of me that completely agrees with this, but there is another part of me that thinks it’s wishful thinking because we all care about Heather so much and want to believe SM truly loves her and wouldn’t harm her.

YES- I thought so too- but then the sd card threw me for a loop. I also thought the part about the other car hitting the deer. I wondered if they were in separate cars during all that time.

I also wonder if NL truly believes the timeline she gives, or if that is just what can logically make sense (Heather disappearing from PTL). After hearing about Longbeards, I don't think many of us think things went on at PTL. Was there any info about whether Heather's car was seen driving to...

Very true. I wondered though because NL seemed to indicate in this trial that she knew there wasn't enough for murder. Do you think that is just what she says to this jury because she needed them to understand that for this case?

Also, I've been looking back over timelines. I am wondering if SM went to HE apartment with the pregnancy test. She stopped all social media postings for a while, could have been while he was there. I wish there was surveillance in her parking lot. After that, I'm confused. Could SM have asked...

Wow. Just watched NL closing argument and the family speak, and the sentencing. I'm so glad he was found guilty. I think his wording at the end was very careful- I don't think he knows where poor Heather is, but I do think his wife does. I wish he would just be honest and tell all he knows. What...

I didn’t get to hear the testimony, so I’m catching up from all of you guys. It definitely sounds like she said all of that on purpose! That last comment about her being there to help him... what in the world?? Certainly makes it sound like she caught AC in some kind of lie.

Oh, and if there was no blood, they might not have even thought of needing to clean for DNA until a few days later when they started getting nervous as the cops were closing in on them.

I might be confused about the cleaning of the truck (I didn’t watch, I’ve just caught up in reading). If they were cleaning the outside of the truck- it actually could make sense. If they grabbed her and put her in the back of the truck, they wouldn’t need to clean much of the inside. I used to...

Yes, he has testified before. It’s weird because I’m local and I recognize some of the witnesses.

Anyone else watching Dateline? I’m having trouble watching already. Poor Heather and her poor family.

IMO They didn’t think her car would be discovered that quickly at PTL. I think their hope was that people wouldn’t realize she was missing either for a few days (roommate was away). Longbeards was not mentioned for a long time, so the dumpster would not have been looked at for a few days after...
