I totally agree with you. There feels a lot of cat and mouse going on in this case, and I think SG's messages were not random but done specifically in response to ransom communications, as well as with advice on how to appeal to the authors of the notes etc.

I saw somewhere up thread that BE was told earlier today that something big was going down today as a house was being surveilled. I'm guessing the Culver's is pretty close to the house if that's true.

I'm not familiar with Culver's, is it a grocery store? Any chance it has a Bitcoin kiosk there? Is it possible this is all related to NG, but only in terms of ransom hoaxes?

Carlos says he was spoken to because of a tip about his eyes, as other posters have said. Maybe they also got geofencing info back and he'd been in the area at some point too. 2 hits on one person would justify finding and questioning them. Just a possibility here.
