Suspect not "killer" to correct your statement. Regardless, there is no need to make more of this case than it is... No need to create a future for the victim that is unwarranted and sensationalistic.

Hey... Preaching to the choir! What bothers me the most about these cases, is the need to sensationalize the victims and demonize the suspect... Suspect being the operative word. Many people automatically buy into the saint-making of the victim and will even go as far as creating a personna of...

Sure, but that in no means she was on the cusp of a major career breakout. A "role" can mean anything... even one line. The point I am trying to make, is that it is important that certain facts not be sensationalized.

All sorts of acting opportunities? Perhaps you are not familiar with how call-backs work... SEVERAL actors are asked back. Additionally, regardless of the publicity, none of these were *major* opportunities. Sure, it makes a better story, but the fact remains, she was VERY small time in the biz.

If they had any evidence of that, they would have levied a First Degree Murder charge - It applies if the victim was held against her will prior to her death.

Given that the family has ties to LE, I suspect that they knew early on that homicide was suspected and asked to remain somewhat silent.

Fay is also a former Crown Prosecutor and a darned good Criminal Defense lawyer... You can bet if Inspector Doug De Grood retained him for his son, he is definitely one of the city's best... Also one of the most expensive.

Maybe because JB is obviously not the pillar of truth? Why should we believe anything he says? He has proven to be a liar so why believe him when he said she left the home at a specific time?

I have often wondered if it was JB that suggested that she may have gone to Toronto or Vancouver as a cover for why he did not notify family or LE sooner. Perhaps he told them that she was planning on pursuing her career in one of those cities as a way to gain some distance from the relationship?

He was likely simply answering the reporter's question... "How is your client holding up?" Asks the reporter. "He is overwhelmed..." Replies Fay.

Again, we do NOT know that Josh last saw Shannon alive at 12:30 a.m. - We only know that that is the time he gave police for when he claimed to have last seen her.

No Otto, we don't know from Josh that "She was deceased at 12:30 a.m." - We know that he told Police that he last saw her at that time, but given that the autopsy isn't complete and JB has never admitted that he killed her at that time, we cannot make those leaps.

I was responding to Dennis' assertion that it should be First Degree because he didn't call 911.

That Still does not constitute First Degree Murder.

Or... Maybe it was simply an argument gone deadly? Why does there have to be a psychological component to the burial? Maybe they fought, it got physical, she was struck and killed, he buried her to cover up the crime. Easy peasey.
