Yeah I was thinking the same - 26 years today. We have to find out what happened to them that night and who is responsible for this.

Depends on who it was. If he was pretending a cop ("I'm taking you to a safe place under the Witness Protection Program" or something similar --upcoming testimony of Susie), then, if he pretended well, they could naturally think about taking their purses. Or if a good ruse was in place and eg...
