In the America's Most Wanted video, the 2nd call was to Arlene's mother to see if they could have a sleepover. Her mother said no, leaving Gina short of money for the bus.

Nope, according to the AMW video, Arlene Castro was the last person to see her before she went missing. I am taking this new version of events with a grain of salt until we get more confirmation. I really don't think Arlene had any idea what happened.

It took watching John Walsh on CNN to truly make me realize that the friend Gina DeJesus was last seen with was in fact Ariel's daughter. I know that hindsight is 20/20, but watching her America's Most Wanted clip was so frustrating because the answer was right there.
