BBM This is not true. In my state, MN, with felony charges a person's sentence depends on their criminal history - same conviction can result in one person getting probation and the other getting an executed sentence, again depending on their criminal history.

I totally agree also. This is the one thing I've believed from the beginning - if Ron truly was at work and came home to find HaLeigh gone, the first thing we would have heard about this case is a guy hurting/killing his teenage girlfriend when he came home to find his daughter "gone".

I like this theory because it answers ALL questions, near as I can tell, and doesn't bring up anything new. It explains every players behavior.

I respectfully disagree with you and others who believe a sentencing delay must mean something. Hearings get delayed all the time - she's been sentenced to prison, this addtional sentence should be concurrent with her first one, big deal (to the system) if that sentence occurs now or 10 years...

I agree. None of what any of them has said about what supposedly happened makes any sense to those of us who have been following this case from the beginning. Each story told leads us to say "well, what about this..." and "what about that?" Each story brings up more questions than answers...

I'm betting that Ron has had to answer to child protection before about injuries/bruises that HaLeigh and Jr. had (and resulted in him being shown the right way to discipline) and felt that injuries resulting in death could not be explained away this time due to his past with CP.
