    I'm not sure LE is even investigating this case.If they think she ran off would they still look?It's sad if they took things for granted and she was really murdered seems like evidence would be lost.Very upsetting.

    If she was a cop and PI I would imagine she kept a gun but if she had someone she trusted like a boyfriend or close friend I would imagine she would feel safe with them and be taken by surprise.

    <modsnip> I wouldn't be so sure she run off.I watch too much id tv and many times cops assume that and they turn out murdered.

    If she had that much money on her I say foul play.When it comes to money even people she would trust could turn on her.Hope cops are checking that.
