I have some insight on this. Joseph Mattox's mother and Dustin Hilt's father are brother and sister. Also, researching case.net, in 2006 and 2009 SM (Joseph's father) residence is listed as [redacted] - if you mapquest it you will see how VERY close his house is to where Alyea's body was found.
