I don't see how a developmentally delayed teenager that went missing 6 years earlier, or a 16 year old that drowned 3 years earlier, are either reasonable prospects for Belle Chasse John Doe.

As of several years ago, there were some still living members of the family that ran the funeral home where the body was kept for several months awaiting identification. There was speculation that with all the fanfare at the time, they might remember where he was buried even if records were...

A persimmon tree large enough to hang a person in is already close to the end of it's natural lifespan, as they only live about 75 years, and this was close to 50 years ago....so even if left undisturbed the tree would likely have run it's course by now.

They thought the remains were found less than a year after death. The condition of the clothing is remarkable after 26 years in the elements. I wonder if she was initially buried in a crawl space or basement, then relocated years later to the location where found, maybe due to the killer...
