She was an 8 year old kid at the time of the disappearance, and would have not culpability. Her dad was long since dead at the time of that 2019 post. I think she was clearly trolling the weirdo texting her out of the blue, and probably sick of people contacting her.
Also that blogpost is...
Bayard tells his parents "don't worry about me..." and Belle Chasse begs the finder not to tell his parents, because he doesn't want to crush their hope that he would return.....those two sentiments are entirely consistent with each other.
Belle Chasse was obviously well read and very smart...
I don't see how a developmentally delayed teenager that went missing 6 years earlier, or a 16 year old that drowned 3 years earlier, are either reasonable prospects for Belle Chasse John Doe.
As of several years ago, there were some still living members of the family that ran the funeral home where the body was kept for several months awaiting identification. There was speculation that with all the fanfare at the time, they might remember where he was buried even if records were...
A persimmon tree large enough to hang a person in is already close to the end of it's natural lifespan, as they only live about 75 years, and this was close to 50 years ago....so even if left undisturbed the tree would likely have run it's course by now.
They thought the remains were found less than a year after death. The condition of the clothing is remarkable after 26 years in the elements. I wonder if she was initially buried in a crawl space or basement, then relocated years later to the location where found, maybe due to the killer...
Based on the account on Charley Project it would seem to be a homicide. Surprising this was not solved earlier considering the body was found in the same municipality about 6 months after he disappeared.

It's been over six years since my interest in this case led me to dig around and find out as much as I could about Bayard Cousins and La Belle Chasse John Doe. After a couple of hopeful conversations with the case agent in VA Beach (where I was living at the time), I never heard back from her...
The funeral home would not be at liberty to discuss any burial information with anybody not in law enforcement due to privacy concerns.
State law enforcement officers need permission to investigate in a different jurisdiction and especially in a different state. I don't know but suspect that is...
It seems if Bayard's sister ever googled his name, she must have come across this thread. It seems she would probably have an intuition knowing her brother, if this is him based on the facts and circumstances known.
His mother died just a few years ago.
Several years ago when I did the deep...
No I never did. The last time I reached out to her was over 3 years ago by email, and she never responded. In one of our conversations she had said that Bayard had 2 surviving relatives....a sister and an aunt. I always wondered if they new about this suspected match. Maybe knowing him, they...
That's silly. Law Enforcement never saw his privates. Nor did they have the right name on their extensive list of people of interest. Penis size had nothing to do with the capture. So how is law enforcement a credible source to EAR/ONS penis size?
Because with the passage of time the reliability of evidence is severely diminished. If after a certain number of years the evidence is not sufficient to identify a suspect and file a charge, then the statute of limitations protects the innocent by barring the government from bringing a stale...
Despite decades of hard work by many....the suspect list that had thousands of names was missing the one name that counted. The only lead that was relevant and led to fruition was the mining of the GEDmatch database. That is the person who gets the credit....and I'm not sure who it was. And I...
