My workaround is to copy a space from the quoted message, then paste the space into your reply. It adds the missing space and then you can use the space bar from then on!

I presume SM = social media? I've got that MSM is mainstream media and LE is law enforcement, but SM has passed me by. Slowly getting used to the abbreviations! Also, are you aware of a bug in the Quick Reply in Chrome where sometimes the space bar won't put spaces between words?

Yes, you have to enable location services on your phone to see other people's locations. If you disable them you can still open Grindr, but you won't be able to see anyone and, in turn, they won't be able to see you. So it's essentially useless without enabling your location. The distance is...

Yeah I get what you're saying and apologies if you felt like I was jumping on your post. It's just I've seen a lot of people making comments about his sexuality based on his pink shirt (not saying you) and it's kind of annoyed me because I know plenty of straight men who wear pink shirts, etc...

I didn't because you need to give your phone number for Whatsapp and unless I know someone fairly well I wouldn't do that. However, I would imagine I'm in the minority with that - I'm sure lots wouldn't think twice about moving to Whatsapp. That said, Whatsapp doesn't really do anything you...

I've used it, but it doesn't work like Tinder in that you don't swipe left or right. It just shows you people who are near you in order of their proximity to you. It's a bit freaky when you see someone who's only a few yards away. I got rid of it because it's not a good way of finding dates...

Regarding the BIB, with respect those are all generalisations and hence don't prove anything. I've never wanted to be a hairdresser, I've never been a fan of musicals and I'm pretty shy. However, I do find other men attractive. :D I'm pretty convinced of the hook up theory myself, but as the...

I just can't see how he would have gone AWOL with no money. If you're going to go somewhere else you'd need some kind of money - enough to last you till you can get a job elsewhere.

Walking back at that time seems pointless. It would have been light/morning by the time he'd get back to base and then he'd have had to have got himself back to BSE to pick his car up. It would have made much more sense to just stay in BSE and sober up enough to drive back surely.

If he did walk back to base, I just can't see that no one would have seen him leaving Bury or that no other CCTV picked him up.

On the documentary that aired on Forces TV, they asked the Detective Superintendent about dating apps and she just said information could be gleaned from those apps but then wouldn't expand further. This perhaps suggests that's a line of enquiry they were following. I agree it would make sense...

stepmeek - Your provides a very interesting insight - so thank you. Phoning his brother a lot - and speaking to him for an hour on the night of his disappearance - does seem to suggest he was perhaps missing home and/or was having some personal issues. He seemed very excited about them going out...

I'd be surprised if anyone could positively identify someone from those grainy black and white CCTV images. Though I suppose they're hoping someone local might spot themselves and might then come forward, even if it's just to say they didn't see anything. I've been following this case on and...
