Consumptive evidence is such a minute amount, eg, touch DNA, that when it’s tested, it is destroyed and cannot be tested again. If they had enough DNA we would have a perp in custody. They can’t build a full profile of a person, search genealogy sites, create a sketch unless they have ample DNA...
