Hey Rocket, Well, im not sure about NSW police, but from my earlier post about a case in 2018 re: LAPD they were only working off phone tower pings and spent about 3 weeks searching in an area that was hours away from where the body was. Different case, and they had a suspect, but my point is...

Did anyone see my earlier post about Google location tracking? Unless Theo had his location tracking turned off, which IMO is unlikely if you are a traveller in unfamiliar areas, then they have this data. Even if phone is out of reception or airplane mode is turned on. *Phone tower pings are...

Just had a thought. I recently listened to the podcast To Live and Die in LA. The investigative reporter finds out that even when your phone is offline google is tracking your precise location, even with no cell phone service or in airplane mode. The episode he initially discusses this is...

They repeat the same footage a few times, but about 3rd repeat in, its an extra half second longer and at last second he misses the pole. TBH i have done this before while texting and walking and at last minute just scoot around the pole. Embarrassing, but i see people doing it all the time...

Hypothetically, if the phone was dumped in opposite direction to hostel to put off searchers.... maybe the search should be expanded to just as far in the opposite direction to hostel the other way.... i.e. just as far as the lighthouse is from the hostel, they should search that far out out...

Is it possible he met with foul play on the way back to hostel, then the perpetrator(s) dumped his phone in the area the his phone last pinged, to put off people searching for him? Maybe they dumped it into the water or phone just ran out of battery at the time of last ping? ETA: I really hope...

My opinion is that often the same person can look different in different photos, even if taken around the same time or on the same night even. I am one of those people! I don't know why that happens. I think there is striking similarity in the dark features - eyes, hair. Even with MM! BE is...

The kimono wasn't from the girl in the 1988 incident, but it's assumed he stole it, had it on him while committing the crime, but when he fled the crime he accidentally dropped it. Makes you wonder if he knew the woman whose kimono it was. Having read up a little bit on this type of "fetish"...

Yes I can attest to there at least being easy access... as a child I used to walk up footpaths and look for the slabs with the Telstra symbols on them (I must have been a strange child lol) and it intrigued me.. I remember asking about them! Yeah this is along the lines of what I think may...

That's very interesting! Given he is an electrical engineer and worked for Telstra, I wouldn't be surprised if he could tap the pay phones and be aware of what was going on around the place. A previous poster said a couple of pages back that they hung out in Claremont around that time and...

I was wondering the same thing and I hope this leads to more clues and leads about earlier crimes, and perhaps even link him to other unsolved crimes in the years from late 80's and bring closure to those people too. I assume between the crimes in 1988 and 1995 that there would have been more...

Ditto, life got busy and I hadn't visited WS this year but had been following quite closely for a long time before that (on and off)... can't believe we're up to thread #7 now... trying to scroll back to see all the goings on that's been happening this year! I'm so glad this guys been charged...
