HCSO has not confirmed that they feel the blood is staged, that is my opinion only. I should have said that - apologies. I don't know LE's opinion on anything, I wish I did.

My understanding (and it is NOT an in-depth one!!!) is that they needed a swab of the concrete that hadn't been in contact with blood to see what was already on the floor and what (if anything) was "added" to the blood.
