the prosecution did not get to give a rebuttal case...thats why Erin ambushed them with many things such as talking about foraging and the "weight loss" "surgery" in her evidence - because it was after them. They could not introduce new evidence only find ways to question her in such a way to...
if it is not offered during this trial, i very much doubt that if she is acquitted that the crown can come back and try her again on a lesser but similar charge - i am pretty sure that strays into double jeopardy territory.......unless completely new and compelling evidence is discovered - (such...
I have just been listening to "Nights with Ping"'s notes from Tuesday here:
He only read out select snippets but I urge you to listen, because Ping is quoting verbatim what Justice Beale says - and comparing that to the more summary nature of the msm reports - there are subtleties that I think...
i don't think with foraged - because until the trial she wouldn't even admit she had ever foraged let alone anyone ever noticing or talking to her about it. I hope the Jury parse out the "foraged" from that statement
Justice Beale said this:
"She is no different to any other witness, You must assess her evidence the same as you assess the evidence of any other witness."
and then he said
“If jurors did not believe Patterson's evidence, they must put it aside and establish if the prosecution had proven she...

• saying she "investigated" a gastric sleeve (a major bariatric surgery - done by an upper gi surgeon) and made a preliminary appointment to get that done (used the cancer to hide what she assumed was going to be a fairly major operation) at a DERMATOLOGIST for liposuction instead.

I have one more observance that has been tugging at me. There has been a LOT of talk as to the great support and love shown by victims (particularly) D &G towards the defendant - including physical support, (for just one example D, during early covid when elder people were identified as most at...
the actions of a witness (any witness) including lying goes to their "credibility" I am pretty sure it is left to the jury to accord any or a lot of significance to any actions or utterances by a witness to the "weight" and believability of their evidence....thus Mr Mandy lying can and may...
Ok I am very confused by this report: "It was just after midnight on Wednesday morning when the call dropped out, prompting 21-year-old Aiia Maasarwe's sibling to raise the alarm from overseas after a desperate attempt to ring her back failed." If an alarm was raised...why did the cops not find...
I think they know the meaning of the word, just not in this context. so they thought that if not everyone (meaning if it was not unanimous) agreed that the defendant was guilty then they had to find not guilty. I think they thought the unanimous thing only applied to a guilty verdict.
absolutely..my comment was not meant to even relate to this case and no criticism of your body language knowledge.. I was just going off on a self absorbed tangent, I mean I am blinking now, rubbing my ears and nose.
totally agree
but does this happen to anyone else...as soon as I think about not blinking i just have to blink, I am suddenly aware of my eyes and they get all itchy and i turn into a blinking mess.
