I’m leaning more and more towards suicide, especially because of some of the info we were given so late: the painkiller addiction and the missing shotgun.

Well, enrolling her son in school would be the right thing to do, so I don't find that odd. He shouldn't fall behind, and keeping his life as normal as possible is important. Besides, isn't it usually the law, unless you're planning to homeschool? Don't get me wrong - I think other behaviors...

I agree - he sounds like a really healthy guy, both physically - despite the surgery recovery, and mentally. A lot of people would get depressed having to take leave from work while recovering, but it sounds like he really made the most of it and loved spending the extra time with his son. Also...

Thank you - I really hope he's found safe asap. I'm encouraged by a recent missing man not too far away from there (last name Goetze, I think) who was just located in California. His case was similarly confounding, at least to me.
