Yeah, that wording is throwing me off as well and agree with your thought's. But then when she says “This is the only way we will have peace” that sounds more ominous.

I want to remain hopeful, but I feel like that wording is often used by families when someone has been missing for a long time and they believe their loved one is likely no longer alive, and that at least having answers especially a body to bury would...
I think having the body still means a lot. It allows loved ones to truly grieve, find a sense of closure, and honor and celebrate a life by laying someone they love to rest in a meaningful way.
<modsnip> He has a history of making things up or misremembering information he’s been given, which sadly could undermine the case or maybe even reveal details the FBI wants kept confidential. I wish he’d refrain from commenting, as I don’t want his remarks complicating an already messy situation.
