It is in Coke County and calls would go to RL. To travel by vehicle, you would have to know the way, be driving like a bat out of h..., or have unbelievable luck. But remember, we are dealing with 1 tower.

IIRC, we're dealing with one tower with just under a 3 mile radius. The truck fell at the edge of that. The new ping (wasn't really new I don't think, because I heard the location in the first week) was ruled out at first because of its isolated location. By vehicle, you would have to use: 1...

    No, one goes to Sweetwater.

In all of the OE reports, I stated the deputies were responding to a 911 call about a stranded motorist who had run out of gas. The location info wasn't good - mainly road to Abilene. 277 is our main road to Abilene. The trucker's call a few minutes later confirmed 277. SO dispatch knew the...

I thought when we quit showing horses and expanded the ranching, I would be horseback more. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case. I get put in the feed wagon, running the siren to call the cows. WM and the others are the ones horseback! My daughter got a great pic of our latest cow work...

If I have to walk further than the barn, I saddle a horse! God was gracious by providing us with equine friends who walk for us!

I wish we were as prolific with oil as our neighbors to the west. There is oil in Coke County, just not within several miles of BL's vehicle. You would have to go across the river and west to get to one little field. The next nearest field is west, southwest of that location about 7 miles.

We don't lease our land to hunters, but we still stay pretty much inside on opening day and weekends during the season. There are some awesome hunters who come to our county to hunt and then there are others. Unfortunately, the bullets travel just as far for the "others" as they do the good...

At the time, I did not know who in DPS did that release. I now know it came from the lead investigator in this case. I haven't contacted San Angelo Live, but they had done a previous article on this case. Sometimes LE will send a release to the outlet that has requested one. This is my best...

The LE search done in August included numerous officers - deputies (used to rural areas), Rangers, DPS-CID, DPS officers, San Angelo SAR, San Angelo FD, etc. Nobody walked down a street or 277 to search. Some were on foot in the heaviest brush and others were on ATVs provided by those...

Psychic Sleuth, I haven't seen many posts where you got something wrong and the last couple on this page are no exception. If the cell phone tower pictured is the one just south of Bronte on 277, it is located next to the Bronte nursing home - not the Robert Lee nursing home.

I don't have a link. Anything you see in quotes - IS QUOTING THE PRESS RELEASE they were emailed by DPS.

Let's break this down..... There are basically 3 possibilities in this case. 1. BL became disoriented in the brush and is still there and has not been found. Each of the numerous LE searches and the TexSAR search makes this a less likely possibility. Due to the rough terrain, something of...

The truck wasn't north of Bronte and it wasn't a 1/4 of a block from a rest stop. The list goes on.....

I'd be careful using an I report as MSM. Anyone can post those (that's what the "I" is for). The one you linked to had discrepancies.
