‘Unknown Number: The High School Catfish’ has Netflix viewers shook with jaw-dropping reveal: ‘Disgusting’

The bit I found interesting was when the police turned up, she admitted to most of it, apart from insisting that she didn't start it ("The first ones didn’t start, like, with me"), putting it down to "random, or whatever". She has admitted to everything else so why not just say she started it...

UK UK- Joy Hewer, 50, Teacher/church volunteer, sexually assaulted & fatally stabbed in chest, apartment set on fire, Walthamstow, 17 Oct.1995 *REWARD*

I'm actually just looking into this possibility. Yes, it is different MO but is this murder the reason for the change? Maybe he didn't feel comfortable murdering elsewhere and probably vulnerable to being caught which is why he moved on to prostitutes (generally) and 'luring' victims to his flat...

This is what interests me. It was quoted earlier that it was a "smouldering" fire started in the living room and bedroom. If that was the case, then I would be surprised if a passer-by would see anything up in a 6th floor flat. Would there have been flames from a smouldering fire? Not in my...

It's not a jacket but his satchel, as seen in the King's Cross footage.

Found Deceased Cole Cooper, 19 seen on CCTV running snd ‘appeared spooked’ Banknock Falkirk 7 May 2025

Could the broken phone reference just be a case of his battery running out?

Maybe it is easier to go when you are already expected to be somewhere else (School)? It's possible his parents don't work at weekends so would be home, and/or he just didn't leave the house much so parents would be suspicious if he suddenly announced he's going out for the day. My take is that...

UK UK - Ann Heron, 44, found at home with throat cut, Darlington, 3 August 1990

Surely it would only be the police who could determine this and that would be detailed in the statements of those at the scene?

To answer both points. I understand and appreciate the family privacy, especially with regards a 14yo at the time. However, if he usually did live with his mum/stepdad then that is just another 'convenience' along with taking the long way back to the office et al. As to walking into the house...

Thanks for the response. I still find it odd personally that in the situation your immediate instinct after calling emergency services is to contact a colleague/friend and then ask them to go see the body before Services have turned up. Without putting words in your mouth, I would understand if...

UK UK: Family make fresh appeal over Shona Stevens' 1994 murder in Irvine, Scotland

Does anyone have a British Newspaper Archive subscription? Seems to be a few articles on a Fraser Kilpatrick in Irvine from 1984-1986 for petty crime. Also a couple from 78-79 when he lived in Kilmarnock.

UK UK- Edna Mary Ann Harvey, 87, strangled and her body set alight on her mattress, @ home, Finchley Road, Ipswich, August 28,1984.

He was jailed in 1978 for 7 years (Initially life but reduced to 7 years on appeal). If he served his full sentence then he would of still been in prison. Had a search but can't find anything to confirm or deny he spent 7 years in jail, just that he was released in the 1980s.

Have been through the whole thread and find it a fascinating case. The fact it has been discussed so much is testament to that. I find it odd that PH rings his boss immediately after calling the police when discovering the body, whilst he is also an alibi for what time he arrived back at the...

UK - Anita Rose, 57, walking her dog, police investigating suspected murder, Brantham, Suffolk, 24th July 2024'

The prosecution argued the items were taken as trophies. We also know he was concerned about DNA, which seems more plausible than for sexual gratification. Even the Det Supt admitted "We may never fully understand the motive behind it". Just what did happen for their paths to cross when he was...

UK - Anita Rose, 57, walking her dog, police investigating suspected murder, Brantham, Suffolk, 24th July 2024'

The jacket was found several months later in one of his makeshift camps. Could well have been used as bedding for him. He has no history of attacking women and there was no sign of sexual assault to Anita just some items of her clothes taken.
