When Roy Benn's case was solved last year I thought it was this one for a minute. He also disappeared with his vehicle after eating breakfast at an establishment, in 1967 Saint Cloud, MN. Found last year in the river by a fisherman testing new sonar.

Great find, thanks for sharing! Yeah he lived and worked ~17 miles from there but I wonder if anything closer was dredged like that too. Even with a more recent environmental cleanup that happened in that area, it worries me if some of the vehicles they remove are even able to be identified...

His vehicle was found by a citizen yesterday around 2:45 pm, the assistance of the FBI Submersion Evidence team was requested to conduct further investigation of the area.
Still no updates on this but it's been referenced in recent articles where a lady was rescued from her car within ~400 ft of where the van was recovered.

I've done that too! though in the upper areas of the river during times of the year when it's under a foot deep, so you don't have to worry about gators so much.

Adventures with Purpose has a live stream video with that park in the title, I believe they scanned that section of the Willamette River with sonar. Not to say they couldn't have missed something just thought...

So the day they disappeared was a Sunday, the next day was Columbus Day that they must have had off, then their return to duty was on the 10th. Makes sense they would plan a trip with their extra day off, with the car missing I think the Missouri River should be checked too. I hope that's not...
