I’ve never tried uploading a file before. It’s a clipping from the Marshalltown Times Republican sent to me by my father. My mother was aware of Corey’s death when I spoke with her, but she wasn’t sure she knew the Brown family from church.
The image of Corey’s locker has made its way around...
The police chief in Marshalltown has written a heartfelt and tender editorial for the paper, the Times Republican.
Guest column: Sometimes tragedy happens and no one is to blame
If you think it's direct and unspoiled, you're right, just like me and all of us that come from there. Despite it...
His family are members of my parents' church, although my folks are elderly and might not know them. One of the reports quoted above states that Corey did walk south, which is toward the old highway 30 that goes to Ames. Very unlikely that he would have encountered a vehicle there at that time...
I am heartbroken by the news about Corey, as are we all. His parents graduated from the same high school as me just a few years after. Highway 30 would be in walking distance of his home, but he probably walked the other way (north.) Of course I could be wrong but if you look at a map there are...

Corey could have contacted friends using any internet...
I am from Marshalltown and still visit family there regularly. I’m wracking my brain trying to think of areas to search or where he could be hiding out. Have there been any reports of how he was dressed when he left home? I wonder if there are any unsecured areas left from the tornado this...

The minimal amount of info and concern for his well-being may...
IMO Barth is really taking a chance with this "she's no abused flower" position. As a professional, educated, feminist woman who was taken in by a NPD male, I reject this argument that Kat is to blame for SM's abuse. Barth is talking the standard chauvinist view that a woman CAN'T be a victim of...
