Is it known that they were not wearing life jackets ? Agreed this is not only sad but odd ... Imo.

And just to be ultra picky, body weight should be distributed between front and rear of boat when using the motor. Makes the boat move...

Smaller than I imagined and no handrail style ropes to hold on to. Nor the footrail ropes you can hook you feet under.

The larger boat is the sail boat they were using in the Bahamas, the video is taken there. The small boat is likely the dingy they took...

Whoa, that's the boat they were in? It has an electric motor and some, especially on dinghies do have keys or use key FOBs.
