Who is sitting behind the defense? Is that Jodi's sister?

Hi everyone I followed this case about 2 weeks ago on GMA. I was trying to look up more info on this case when this site pulled up. I believe JA will be charged with crime of passion. The one thing I don't get is why did she brutally murder TA 27 times. What led her to doing this?
