Just sitting here watching an episode of Emergency from the 1960's. Shoppers call 911 because a baby is alone in the backseat of a car and hasn't move in "over an hour". No adult has been in the car or to the car. Paramedics show up, break into the locked car, and discover the little guy was...
@lonetraveler, My husband and I have been going to Southport and OKI for 30+ years. His uncle lived on West St. in Southport til a few years ago. I, too, am shocked at the tragedy of such a quaint and beautiful town. Have been on this riverwalk, pier, and in the restaurants, as well as...
Wouldn't it have been very difficult to give birth to 3 babies in one year (She says in the article tlcya linked that the first baby was born a year ago). Impossible for them all to have been full-term babies. And why did she keep getting pregnant? Surely whoever was getting her pregnant knew...

And the mother was an RN? Wondering what is going on in this home that caused such filth to accumulate? He was supposedly the stay-at-home dad, not a very good one imo.

This is so, so sad. Other than genetic genealogy, I don't think there's any hope this person would be identified. @Puzzleworth , any info on if the state hospital knew ahead of time they'd be closed. My thought is that if they were notified, based on this man's extreme abuse and neglect, they...
I can't even comment on this one it makes me so angry. My tender heart could hardly read the documents. And the pictures made me sick to my stomach. Who could leave 2 babies to fend for themselves? Selfish *&%*(!!
