Interesting.
I hate to say it, but there's just so much violence in this area of Tampa. Even back when I was a student at USF, living roughly 5 miles from these latest killings, there was a guy gunned down who was walking to visit his girlfriend at our apartment complex. I think in that case...
I would like to think someone would have immediately recognized him, too, but the reality is that SH isn't entirely what the media has been portraying. There are areas of gentrification, but there are still a lot of rough areas, also, with people living life on the fringe, if you will. For...
Very interesting. Note that both Mayor Buckhorn and Chief Dugan believe he lives in the neighborhood and that police have already spoken with him. Buckhorn states that "he clearly knows the alleys, the nooks and crannies."
Gotta feel like the authorities are really clamping down on him now...
Exactly. His options are dwindling in Seminole Heights.
I don't see how he was even able to pull off the last one, honestly. There are police on every corner and anyone deemed reasonably suspicious would be Terry stopped. Even if you don't match the description, the police are going to stop...
It's tough. The incidents have definitely had a chilling effect.
For example, I was going to eat an early dinner at Ella's off Nebraska yesterday. They have a pork chop dish I enjoy and I'd recommend the restaurant to any of you folks reading from afar if you're ever in town. However, by the...

Yeah, I could see that. Frankly, he may not have much choice if he wants to continue with the same M.O. The police are stopping to question and actively discouraging anyone out walking the streets alone.
Yes, a great point. Residents should be on the lookout for any changes/signs of occupancy in their sheds. If you regularly keep the doors closed or store things in a certain manner, don't just assume the wind opened it or knocked something over, etc. Note anything suspicious.
I get the feeling...
It's possible. If so, and he's otherwise homeless or lives an itinerant lifestyle, maybe that explains why he wasn't identified in the police's "door-to-door" campaign and why the latest killing involved a man connected to a food pantry. Since many of his previous advantages have been stripped...
Yeah, I would think it's highly unlikely, but for whatever reason there's been some chatter about it. Maybe people just had the film in their minds when they were speculating about how he could disappear so quickly.
Local resident here.
One of the biggest things that stood out to me was when the city had Code Enforcement boarding up abandoned houses last month. They obviously felt those gave him an advantage. Was he using them as a hideout or a place to sit and watch targets? If so, in my opinion, that...
