Interesting that nobody noticed the backpack being dropped off overnight, at least not that we know of. Familiarity with an area might be that you work there and overnight hours might mean a paper delivery driver would be normal for to go through stop and go as they bring the daily news. That...

It is a prob when people are just herded into the RSO category, without any sort of regard as to the level of alert someone might want to be concerned with. I really wouldn't want to sell my house because of a guy that thought it was ok to date "jailbait' and never did it again. Merv the Perv is...

As I mentioned in a previous, this one perks up a bit for this case SOR unspecified crime other than felony that bought him a spot on the SOR http://www.homefacts.com/offender-detail/COXX03809999/Christopher-Michael-Acosta.html And he has many matches to the suspect sketch from two diff...

Don't forget the piece of crap car factor. A car will roll around town but not be so inclined to go to farther than that and it's fairly likely that the abductor was not in a newer Mercedes.

The man saw her name on her water bottle, which her mother helped her to pack each day along with oranges. Finding a lone backpack with the name of a heavily covered missing child on something inside would send one dialing on the nearest phone.

I find it interesting that there is a convicted sex offender, unspecified, that lived just around the corner from Jessica's house. His picture also matches the description of a sketch made from two victims of attempted abductions in neighboring Arvada. He was born in 1984.

I agree with you, it's like a thesis. I really sat in the middle on this one and the polarity around me was jarring.

I would be so much happier if Matlock and Perry Mason were running this case, along with Angela Landsbury providing the investigating. The loose ends are maddening, the jury bearing the brunt of that one in a very real way. I don't want loose ends, I want an answer that's absolute with an...

    Support Thread: Jurors

The who, the what, the when, the where and the how were all shaky, despite what all the publicity and published materials might have us believe. Theories "for" and "against" Casey Anthony abound on this forum. Consider how many times you have seen a theory and thought "Wow, that is so spot on!"...

I agree with you and I think you prove further though that questioning the motivation and sincerity of jurors is way over the top in being judgmental. The behavior of the jury is not unusual, it's just not what people expected, given the literal years of hype about "tot mom."

It makes no sense whatsoever that someone is not looking over their shoulder for the cops if their child just died, however the child died. Even if one looks at her personality and motivations to be me, me, me, it's all about me, you would still look for someone to get really nervous occasionally.

    It's called denial and disassociation.

The burden of proof is on the state, not the defendant. It's very possible had the body been recovered "immediately" that autopsy would show a child that had drowned. There is no proof of any other cause of death. Even Dr G arrived at her conclusions by default.

Did the jury get it wrong, or...

I'm glad you find the legal process amusing, however, this jury was right on target. Yes, you heard it here, someone actually keeps track of average time of jury deliberations in capital and non-capital cases. I guess if a shrimp can run on a treadmill, someone can keep a ticker on this, too...
