I barely had time to cook dinner while the jury was out! What a great closing and rebuttal by Bloodworth. Really, the whole trial. He was measured and full of facts and evidence. I thought he was amazing! The jury got it right and I am so glad! MOO

I was on the elliptical when this witness announced that she didn't even write the book and I almost fell off laughing!

With that text exchange, too, I wondered if she was trying to figure out what kind of drugs to get to kill Eric. I'm not sure she was well versed in that area! MOO

I just want to say I have never had a more unexpected reaction to a witness. I felt so sorry for this man! He REALLY loved her. I expected something completely different. I, too, wonder if she thought she could get him to kill Eric for her. There was such a vulnerable quality to him. When...

Oh no! I am really going to be disappointed if I don't get to see this man!

I am hoping to hear from the boyfriend! That is a completely different motive but so compelling. She wanted out but she wanted AND needed the money. With the prenup, there was really only one way to get that... MOO

As an accountant/bookkeeper, this witness is absolutely my hero! She is amazing! MOO Edited to add: She even worked in the "inconvenient" email!

She was desperate to be wildly successful very quickly. She was essentially in a time crunch to be a millionaire (which is the lifestyle she wanted to keep.) The marriage was failing. The prenup was looming. Had he known about the extent of the debt, I believe he would have divorced her. But I...

Yesterday was such a strong day for the prosecution! I was able to listen to some of the testimony last night. I am always so impressed and shocked about the info that the tech experts can pull from the phones, records, and other devices. What stuck out to me was, of course, the corroboration...

I believe there is also a business associate who will testify that Eric told him the same thing: that he thought his wife tried to poison him.

No matter what they did, these were not going to be the prosecution's strongest witnesses. They were essentially drug addicts/dealers and their stories had changed way too much. Even I could have impeached their credibility. But they knew they had to put them up there, and they got them out of...

I think Carmen will be fine. She has found her footing today and looks and sounds much more confident in her answers today. IMO this cross has turned into a train wreck for the defense. Carmen should be proud of herself because she is not the one mixing everything up!
