    I think it's as simple as the L's knowing about where he was in the reserve and LE didn't find him due to the water. The L's knew about where to look today and since the water has recently receded, well, boom.

    Does LE need to collect "evidence" in a presumed suicide or misadventure type situation in the same way they would collect evidence at a crime scene?

    -Would explain the high amount spent in a short period of time. -Would explain the outing/camping with family before he disappeared. -Saw his nephews. -Would explain why he went home in Gabby's van at all. -Several one last time moments.

    It does seem like that, but I'd imagine there'd be further decomp due to the environment it was found in. Hmmm.
