I agree with you, Jodibug. I'm a mom, too. I see this teen "friend's" parent's decision as entirely different from yours. I would think a parent's alarm bells would go off and matters would be taken firmly in hand if it was discovered the child claimed to be a friend--almost a fan--of the...
Unbelievable. Not only does the "friend's" father allow her to look the way she does, and take off school for the hearing, he seems quite calm when he says his daughter KNEW Alyssa Bustamante wanted to know what it felt like to kill someone. If one friend knew the killer had that desire, I...
Information appearing in the Jeff City paper about special security procedures for tomorrow's certification hearing:

Not usually, but in cases like this one where the juvenile is accused of first degree murder, the certification hearing like the one to be held this Wed. can be opened to the public as Judge Beetem has elected to do.
I agree we would not expect employees to talk; however, the suspect's visitors would be seen coming and going, people would be visiting other residents, and there would be other juveniles released from time to time.
Wondering whether any locals know if the suspect has had visitors? Any locals out there with any information on how this person spends her time, what is her demeanor, etc? Someone must know.
Capri, I agree with you, only I think the "true colors" were deliberately obscured by ILC. He is absolutely someone with a close connection to the case, IMHO, and his parting shot and subsequesnt "apology" resulted from extreme fear of exposure and the fact that his chain was yanked by someone...
Without being too specific because suspect is a minor, I found a link elsewhere to a yearbook site page that has a scary photo of the girl, smeared makeup and a frightening pose. If this is TMI, someone pls tell me and I will delete this post.
I hope I'm not violating any rules, but now that ILC has been shown to be not exactly what he purported to be, I would like to put my theory out there about him, for what it's worth. I think he is definitely a person who has "a dog in this fight," either someone who is friends with someone, or...
I do not believe the juvenile judge's order is appealable, whichever way it goes (certified to be tried as an adult or not). It seems there may be very narrow exceptions to this, but generally the matter is left to the discretion of the juvenile judge once he/she has reviewed the matter and...
Under MO law, the process to get a juvenile certified as an adult requires the juvenile court judge to first give notice of and then hold a hearing at which a long list of criteria are evaluated. Statute requires that before the hearing, a report must be prepared that fully develops "all...
