We all saw how the JonBenet note was analyzed to death. I think the TMZ request was safer for them. I do not think this was a one person job, and if it was the cartels....no one will be brave enough to go against them. IMO.
Human trafficking has been reduced, so their income has taken a hit...
Ransom note is evidence. If it was revenge, I think information would come out that it was personal.
I am curious if bitcoin or any other untraceable digital currency has ever been used before for kidnap/ransom payments. I think these type of payments have been used before for illegal...
I also still think it was a ransom.....but also a test run to see how well using bitcoin would work for receiving payments.
IMO this same method will be used again. And they will target high income families.
Jumping in with one piece of info. Can't say it is connected at all to this case.....but south of the border kidnapping is a cottage industry. Way too common. Cartels and want to be. Now that "they" are not making as much on human trafficking, can some lower ranked person be testing out how easy...
What address did the dispatcher tell officers? Sure wish LE would give a bit more information. Seems they are staying pretty quiet for a case that has so much public interest.
I did not like the tone of the dispatcher when Tepe's friends were calling in. Almost as if she was not too concerned. Not until someone mentioned a dead body.
How did the 911 call get released to the public? Did LE have to approve the release? If so, I think LE wants that person identified.
And have they released any information related to robbery?
With so little information at this time, do we know they were in bed? The person that called LE said he could see body? Were they downstairs? Was the master bedroom upstairs?
I still get the feeling that the woman that called 911 in April, and the murders between 2-5am are somewhat related...
Or fit in with some sort of criminal gang. Maybe he already was with one....back in Ukraine. It is a country known for crime. His family here said he liked to pick and bully children younger and perceived weaker than himself.
If that is truth that he had a "best behavior" that means he could control his emotions and behavior, which makes him hugely dangerous.
I imagine he hated how his new father treated his new mother. He wanted to dominate. Maybe catering to him made it worse. Some sort of survival maladoption.
