I am now unemployed My best achievement is I am a mother of 3. I have 3 beautiful daughters and 1 Grand daughter. I have worked a few different jobs in my time, all of them involved working with the public. My most pleasing and rewarding, yet very challenging job, was as a Care In The Community Officer. I would help people with mental health issues and ex prisoners return to the community and try to help them with the transition. I would also help young people who were taking the wrong path and try to steer them into jobs and become independent adults who could find their way around all the many legal and administrative systems that young people come into contact with when they start to venture out on their own. I helped all of the above find or take part in job training, finding trades to become involved in to help them with employment. I have worked with the sweetest people right up to the most awful that society has.
I became very interested in the human psyche during my time working for the charity I was employed by. I trained to be a psychiatric nurse but unfortunately I did not have much time in the profession as I became a single Mum and with no support network, I stayed at home with my children. Now I am not a single Mum but in 2012 I had an operation on my. Spine which unfortunately left me disabled. I am mostly at home and have found many ways to entertain myself. I have taken up crafting and spend much of my time reading and watching true crime. I found out about web sleuths by watching a TV series called The Killing Season. It had me hooked and I have many many ideas about things, as many of you also have. I am just very proud of my prediction after watching the very first episode that there was something seriously wrong with the Police Department. The last episode proved me to be correct in this assumption. I would have rather have been wrong though and had the Police do their job correctly in the first place and solve these vicious crimes against the women found on Long Island. This is why I am delighted that web sleuths exists. It is a brilliant idea to let the people these crimes most affect, have an open discussion and share ideas and investigate these crimes and in some cases go that much further into things than the police do or can at times.
I look forward to many discussions in the future and meeting new people amongst the threads.
