Unless evidence was collected at the time that could be tested for dna, it likely cannot be solved unless someone finally comes forward with information.

That article does state that Brandon Jones was convicted of “both crimes” seeming to refer to both murders but I do know that no one has been arrested or tried for anything related to Sonja Day’s murder.
