Still, it is important to research the possible missing women and try to find descendants or other family members, and then eliminate the women who are not her.

Other Jane Does I've researched in the 1950s either hitchhiked or traveled by bus. Both very common. Could be she was fleeing from an abusive husband.

Thank you for discussing this case with the coroner. I'm not surprised that the Jane Doe's remains were dumped in a landfill, but I find it so very very sad. This woman deserves the "presumptive ID."
