It's the first pic of his laptop. You have to embiggen it. :)

He did seem to have an awful lot of public squabbles. But so did several of his friends, so it may be normal there.

That was my take as well. This case is getting lots of attention for obvious reasons, but still he is the sheriff of a fairly small place. It just wouldn't do to come out and say anything about the criminal histories of any of them right then. They are victims at this time.

I wondered how much cooperation LE would actually get. Obviously, they want justice, but it seems that family and friends come first, and the ties are deep. I kind of think there's a line that they won't cross. Of course, this is in my imagination, I have heard nothing to support that.

I think booby traps are one of the methods the killers are "hindering the investigation" as I believe the sheriff stated. Also, I suppose they would not know for sure if someone were waiting for them.

I agree that it was just an amateurish interrogation. I wondered if some of the deputies were a bit resentful that the BCI was there immediately and really in charge. Especially if the suspect a local resident.

I can't imagine what BJ must have been thinking. Panic can make you do dumb things. I don't think I'd go into another house, but maybe I would if I heard a baby or child crying.

I had kind of been thinking that he was the one the killers took with him to the other locations. So no problems with the dogs or gaining entry. Then take him home and kill him last. If there were signs of forced entry in some locations, I guess that I'll need a new theory!
