Cat, when you say that maybe we can find out if the case is closed, I assume you mean that LE is no longer involved? Did you also mean that they may know where he is, or that he is no longer missing?? I think you did not mean that?

Really, though, I don't find that suspicious (if that's what you meant) cause of their location so close to where RM lives.

Also, they are very close to RMs house. I think it is just natural to search those type places when someone is missing.
