The area she was last seen (i.e. her home) is a residential area with a lot of townhouses. The nearest commercial street is about 3/4 mile walk away. (Pendleton Pike) There is no water in the area. So what were the circumstances when she was last seen? And it's not clear WHEN she was last...

So Sandarsh was last seen between 4pm and midnight on the 27th. His backpack was turned in at 7am the next morning. That's a large window of time during which he was "last seen". Is the National Park Service trying to keep details limited? Also, midnight would be late to be out on the trails...
