It blows me away. In another article, I read that BC jurists were crying. Now I know why. If I had to be in a room with that guy's attitude for a week, I would have been in tears too. Shame on him. Sadly, I know a lot of guys like him, and id he's like them, he'll likely never understand...

The part that floors me is that he judged her by what she wore (hello 1950s!) and took to his house. Even if she had intended to become involved with BC, this jurist missed the point of the drugging and nonconsensual sex. I'm embarrassed for him. The above is just my opinion.

I always have a hard time with how we protect jurists' privacy. It makes me cringe to know they have to face the defendant head on, and it's even worse when they have to defend their voting rationale publicly. Really, I think jurists can do these things--hear the trial and vote, and even justify...
