I've never heard of this airport so I'm doubtful it's close to Castaic (sorry, I'm a local). However, no airline would let him on a flight without ID even if he did have money to purchase a ticket. Interesting theory though!

His disappearance took place during the hottest part of summer and IIRC the cold water theory was ruled out by LE enforcement early on.

Unless it got snagged on something. That was a holiday weekend with lots of boat traffic on the lake, so I don't know if that would have any impact on a body under water. Ugh

It's not that far from Castaic. Just a few minutes on the freeway. Given he size of L.A. county, it's really quite close.

I didn't bring up those things to bad-mouth him or his family, but rather to support a theory of why he would walk away with no communication.

If it was dark and the vehicle was rolled on its side, maybe he couldn't find any if those items and was too scared to stay in the car and try to find them. If I was dangling from a seatbelt, I think I'd be too terrified to think straight.

The truth is, we really don't know anything about him or his relationship with his parents - only what his mom says. If you go through and read his past posts on his personal Facebook page, he's quite a different character than the sweet innocent boy we're imagining. I'm not saying he's a bad...

Mrs. L mentioned on the facebook page awhile back that LE was no longer involved and that the phone number on the current flyer has been changed to a private number, not LE detective's number anymore. That indicates to me that LE is done with this case. I have zero experience with LE and missing...

I think we only have one homeless shelter in Santa Clarita, and that is the Bridge To Home off of Railroad Avenue on Drayton. I believe they are now open until March. Has anyone checked around the Midnight Mission downtown L.A.? I still keep my eyes peeled everywhere I go....

I have to agree with you and have felt the same for a long time. I wish they had the resources and time to search deeper in the lake.

I don't understand why equipment and cameras can reach the bottom of the ocean, but not the bottom of Castaic Lake? How can the lake be ruled out if the whole thing hasn't been searched? It would sure narrow things down one way or the other IMO.
