If the jury is hung, couldn't they have dealt with it last night, rather than sending everyone home and bring them back today? With the courthouse being cordoned off, I think there is a verdict and they didn't tell the media, hoping it wouldn't be a big circus today.
Really? He sure ran to GMA and other outlets in a hurry. Sounds like he wanted his face out there pretty darn badly.
I'm glad he went first. The others are coming along and cleaning up his mess and having the last word.... his opinion(s) now in the background.
Yes, very. I haven't said anything negative about the foreman, but I'm done with that. What is with the man and how in the name of all that is holy did he ever become the foreperson? If he was so headstrong in his decisions, it should have been someone else. Someone who was open to listening to...
I'm on the fence about the DP, but lean more toward not being in favor of it. If I were in the Alexander family's shoes, I may feel differently. I would never be picked as a juror for a DP trial because when asked that question during jury selection, I would say that I probably couldn't impose...
Yep, I bet she would, too. I think she thought all along she would not be convicted of 1st degree and would get 2nd degree or manslaughter. She probably figured she would be out in 20 years. I think there's a 1% chance she ever gets parole. JSS would/will sentence her to LWOP if the next jury is...
And this one didn't? :waitasec:
If your opinion is that it didn't, I know 12 people who would disagree with you. 12 people who looked at all the evidence through a different lens than we all did. And, 12 people whose opinion is the only one that matters. :twocents:
Yet some are not. There's still lots of bashing of them going on. I appreciate them finding her guilty of 1st degree murder and accept and respect their verdicts -- all 3 of them. It is what it is and speaking badly of them doesn't change anything.
After the jury found this murder to be "especially cruel", I don't think there's any chance JA will ever be paroled.
Also, Beth Karas reported yesterday that because she's been convicted of 1st Degree Murder, the first 3 years she is in prison she will basically live the life of a death row...
Thanks was not enough! Bravo!
Personally, I don't think the judge being emotional had anything to do with how she feels one way or another as far as JA goes. I think maybe she saw how Travis' family and friends were reacting and the whole emotional roller coaster of the trial hit her...
In a couple of weeks, most people won't care what JA's up to. She'll be a footnote at the end of newscasts and most of all, she won't have her face on TV every day; won't get to request makeup for interviews and HLN won't talk about her nightly tweets. She will hate that with a passion.
You've got to be kidding me. As I said before, CA is a free woman and JA is not.... she never will be. The Pinellas 12 are not even in the same universe as this jury.
Can we please, please, please stop bashing the jury. Some of the talk about them is downright cruel. JA is a convicted murderer thanks to them.
I thought we were better than this.
