Yes, all of the above may be possible, and I'll add this one: Possibly the witness knows BG well and fears him and did not come forward earlier for that reason. If this were the case, the new sketch would be very accurate. Just my opinion, of course.

You were not silly; you were wise. Those instincts are primitive and innate -- part of our survival mechanism. All girls and women would be wise to hone and heed them.

Yes, I've been thinking the same thing. Thanks for stating it so well.

Blown up, it looks like a cigarette butt, well stubbed out so that it is slightly bent. Because it is at the front of the image, it looks larger than it perhaps is.

This very idea occurred to me this morning. What if BG is already in custody on unrelated charges and LE is just waiting for DNA results to be returned. A hopeful thought, at any rate.

If, in order to fit in, the perp was wearing clothing he normally would not wear, could he have purchased them in a thrift store? I volunteer at one in my rural community and we have an abundance of such clothing available. Just a thought.

Oh so very true! I've see people in my tiny town leave the bank, get into their vehicle, and drive across the street to go to the post office. I've given up walking about town for exercise. I just stick to the one-lane road that leads to my house and walk up and down, up and down to avoid stares...

Thank you for the link. I did Google the Barnum effect and learned something. In my opinion, though, there is a great deal of difference between vague statements such as "You have tendency to be critical of yourself" or "You have a great need for other people to like and admire you" and...

Thanks for this. I wonder how closely the profile of BG will match this one?

Thanks! I remembered reading this article but could not find it again. Sargent Slocum says, “We actually made arrests as we’re investigating this case.” But the arrests are not related to the killings. “If we come across a suspect and/or witness — or anybody — during this investigation, and...

In the last thread or two, someone posted that the FBI was trying to identify the brand of shoe BG was wearing. That gave us something new to scout.
