By the mid-18th century, the phrase "on tenterhooks" came to mean being in a state of tension, uneasiness, anxiety, or suspense, i.e. figuratively stretched like the cloth on the tenter.
I'm catching up, its early morning here. I'm appalled by some of the posts I'm reading.
Why on earth would the parents feel the need to take legal action? This resort doesn't appear to have any more criminal appeals than anywhere else IMO. It is what it is, closer to nature etc... items left...
It will be interesting to see how the sniffer dogs trail they detected fits in because the trail only went as far as 100 yards before being lost. Was it 100 yards to the nearest river or maybe the car park...
I still suspect foul play as I have done from the start. I think they would have found clothing nearby if they had come off in water or she had taken them off. It will be interesting to know EXACTLY what area she was found in as a post mentioned above about her coming from a river into the area...

Sorry if I appear a bit clueless but is it a general rule that family members are not allowed to be there during searches? Even under the circumstances of a vulnerable girl that relies heavily on her mum and has a...
