No, these are not areas you would see this. There are lots of brothels but not openly on the street. Certainly not in these areas. I suspect he drove those locations because they're where he operated as a diplomatic protection officer, most embassies are in Kensington, Earls Court sort of locale.

It still gives him a good excuse to get away from interview, probably his last taste of "freedom". And allows him to take control of the situation.

I think he banged his head to wind down time on the PACE clock. I reckon he wanted to minimise interview and detention time. There was an episode of 24 Hours in Police Custody where a woman did the same thing.

The Shoot the Boss paintball range is the only one I can see that is permanently closed according to Google Maps. Additionally the fencing seems to match scene footage from journalists.
EDIT: The link / map only shows 3 UK towers for example. You can change carrier on the link, there are actually loads of towers from various carriers around the area. It all depends what network she was on which we obviously don't know.

This is useful - it does show that the roads were pretty light on traffic that night, but not empty by any means. Also shows there weren't really many pedestrians at all on Poynders Rd.
