*He sounds "rural" to me, but with no readily distinct accent.
*Regarding his "ducks in a row" malapropism, that could just be an aging (alcoholic) brain, not a regional turn of phrase.
*He could be drunk, but I imagine his rambling about firefighters and journeyman carpenter plights to be about...
SillyGoose,
One of the main LE investigators in the January 2017 press conference spoke to this. The evidence adduced for this belief on the part of LE was vague, something to the effect of:
"Based on some of our knowledge of his work history - including the types of knots he would use and...
Regarding A4 bodies from 1977...I'm not certain, but I believe in the recent press conference (January 2017) investigators narrowed the likely time frame down to either the early 1980s or even to late 1981 or early 1982.
Whether they did this due to overwhelming circumstantial assumptions...
I would not be surprised if, considering the seemingly chaotic circumstances of her life and age - newborn child sans father, financial/domestic woes, moving, RE to deal with - a Christmas card would NOT have been a given. A "Merry Christmas" call may have been easier or more likely, but I...
Or, in a similar vein, if he was as much a drinker as is being made out, then there are likely some anchor spots to check out, especially if his presence was more or less pinned down for an entire decade in the 1990s. What package stores and liquor stores are nearby? Are the ones from the 90s...
Some or all of that scenario could very well be in play. Not to keep getting all anecdotal, but one of my best friend's father (who would have been born at the late end of the RE range ca. 1950) "confessed" to us not too long ago that he did a carnie stint in his teenage years. (He's now a...
Great information and very fascinating, too. Thank you for sharing that. I agree "IT" is probably a bigger explanation of why so many people are hard to find or seem to have gone un-reported just a few decades go, though that lack of connectivity might have enabled a "transient" option for...
Yesterday I posted speculation relating to the observation of one of the arresting officers in the Jun case (Roxane Gruenheid) that RE had an eastern accent. Based on public searches, it appears that Ms. Gruenheid may be from the Long Island, NY area - where many people have a distinct accent...
Mom24,
I see now that you asked this question before and got a similar response before. On page 49 of the first thread here, the reply stated 3/18/52 (Kimball) and 3/18/42 (Robert Evans). In a separate, albeit superficial round of googling just now, I found Kimball (GA and TX resident) to be...
No authentic birthday of course. I'm pretty sure he pinched Mayo Kimball's but added or subtracted a decade exactly. So if Kimball was 99/88/1952 then RE used 99/88/1942.
He may have done this over and over with as many manufactured birthdays as adopted names.
I suspect the visual identification from the 2015 article established the lead, and the dental records presumably confirmed the connection to the satisfaction of LE.
Exactly right. See my post just above. The article I linked to (announcing possible Streamwood connection in Feb 2015) has a fellow middle school classmate make a series of comments: "I know this guy." "Did you report it?" "Yes." ...and then a bit later he gives his name and family...
Yeah, it's incredible. It seems like the NC authorities never contacted Illinois LE. Then in 2013 the enhanced image of the Doe was released, generating some more interest but nothing credible. At some point the Streamwood, Ill LE gets involved and is just looking through a bunch of old...
