At the time of his first arrest for passing counterfeit money, Debardeleben supposedly had pictures of young girls in his apartment per one of the few documentaries on him.

This sounds even more like the guy who tried to get me. The hair and clothes and age fit my near-kidnapper too as well as the MO of his face turning white with rage. I am convinced my near-kidnapper was Debardeleben.

I was nearly kidnapped in Passaic County in 1974 (when I was 12) by a man I am sure is Debardeleben who wore a business suit and asked for directions to a nearby town and who wanted me to get into his car. He too exposed himself. I get chills thinking how many of us escaped horrible fates.

Yes...Welch did. I was referring to a thread about the Lyons girls where there was previous mention of Debardeleben, who does not seem to have anything to do with the Lyons girls. However, he is a lurking presence in other girls who went missing in the 1970s.

Not particularly with her but her circumstances remind of some of his MO. It seems like him.

For my case? I am not exactly sure but I think his attack on me was in the later fall or early spring. It was not cold but I was wearing some kind of jacket. While the details with him were hyper-focused, my memory of the time of year is vague. I do think I was past my 12th birthday which...

I stumbled the video last week and listened to it the other night. I choked. It was him. The voice brought me back to 1973 or 1974 and I'm sure it was him. I wish they'd released audio sooner and I wish the Secret Service would release the pictures of his victims. I am so glad I was not one.
