I am still confused about where the 1st SAR dog tracked him. There isn't a straight line or obvious path to the water like the path Dragz drew. Bryce would have had to cut through brush and uneven terrain, which while possible seems unlikely to me IMO. I can definitely check to see how deep...
Yes I checked on the north side of the lake near the exit and all the parking lots and a bunch of trails over there too. I didn't see anything, but I'm glad to check it out again. There was a weird mound of dirt that seemed out of place over there on the side of the parking lot on the way to...
Your posts were so helpful. I just want you to know how much my thoughts are with you. My husband committed suicide 2 years ago. I am so very hopeful that your story ends differently, but I can so relate to what you are going through right now even though it is different. How this person who...
There was a lot of caution tape all over the north side of the park by the lagoon. Maybe there was damage when we had those winds a few weeks ago?

I don't know what they are for. Of course I was looking up in trees thinking of Linnea Lomax/hanging, but they were on several of the trees so I doubt it's anything like that. Still strange though. Gave me the heeby jeebies. Pic below.

Well I went back yesterday. If the dogs are correct in tracking his scent, he sure did take a trek! And he would have had to cross the lagoon. I still haven't been on the actual dam yet and had a good look below the dam. The north side of the lagoon is so quiet and empty during the day...
I can't help with the search this weekend but am gonna try to check out the north side of the lake/lagoon area today where all those trails are. Any specific area/location anybody want me to check or take pictures of?

What if his 'this is the end' plan was to drive into the lake? He shouldve been anle to see the lake on his GPS. The gate to get to the lake was closed though so it seems plausible that he tried to get the car to the lake through the antennae area not realizing there was a cliff. He crashes...
I disagree. It would've been less than 2 miles if he had just followed Lake Hughes road down to the lagoon. Way easier terrain and possible cars driving by that could have picked him up. Instead he goes the longer route, to the lake, crosses the dam, and tries to get down to the lagoon area...
I don't think DRZ knows the actual route other than they tracked him from the car to the lake, across the Dam to the exit on the other side of the lagoon area. I walked out near the dam etc yesterday and the route that DRZ doesn't make sense if I take it literally. I think it's just a general...
I rode my bike on Lake Hughes dr around Castaic the Wednesday before BL went missing. There was no noticeable wind. At 6 am it was probably High 70s, low 80s temperature wise.

I just mapped it and the route of DRZ's bloodhound scent map is 3 miles. It would have taken him AT LEAST an hour if he was walking pretty fast, probably 90 min to 2 hours more realistically with the terrain and his condition.
On your map it seems to indicate he went through the brush to get directly to the dam instead of following the road. Is that correct? I walked by there yesterday and didnt see any path/hiking trail/etc to get from the crash site lower to the lake area other than the road. I know there was...
