Man charged with abuse of corpse after fiancée found dead in storage unit in The Dalles
So yes, it was the fiance. Didn't think the story about dropping her off to go fishing with friends made much sense, given the location and her not being Native American...
Her remains were found recently.
A person of interest has been arrested.
Police ID human remains from Storage Unit; TD man is ‘person of interest’

We're very confused about one thing... This article states the woman found was age 20, but shows her name and picture. Her "missing"...
Oh, that's Hood River County for ya. (my hometown)
I'm reasonably sure the whole thing went, after they tried and failed to pull up the car, something along the lines of... well, we don't have the budget to keep trying to pull this car up, but if you find anything, let us know... and sooner or...

Oh, and a note... location-name-wise, the whole area on top of cliff would also be considered Underwood. Pretty much nobody calls it Underwood Heights.
But the info specifies "along highway 14".
I'm curious where exactly he said he dropped her off, or where the friends were... because locals...
Um. Does anyone have ANY more details about this? Like where they were supposedly fishing? Or where exactly she was dropped off?
I mean... the in-lieu site is right there at the base of Cook-Underwood Rd, but she's listed as (and appears) Asian-American, not Native.
Or were they supposed to...

The Columbia is cold.
The car is in a very deep part, and they think it may have moved enough over the years to fall in there, not been there originally.
This KOIN article quotes the diver as saying that the tailgate was...
