According to previous posts here at WS, nobody can really be certain that there was ANY cash in his wallet, and the notion that there was some and it was taken is pure speculation, based on his habit of always carrying some cash with him.

Makes perfect sense! And that's exactly what I was thinking too . . . . I just didn't do as well as you in conveying my thoughts. :)

I think that I might not be doing a very good job of explaining my theory. Here's what I'm speculating: I believe that MC & BC had an auto insurance policy that included a "Credit Life" clause. And that once BC provided the insurance company with proof of his "death" that the insurance...

It's up to the buyer to transfer the title. So, as for *why* someone would wait so long to transfer the title, I won't speculate, but I do have a couple of ideas about reasons for that. As a seller, there is a form you can submit to the tax office that states you sold the vehicle, VIN and date...

I know a retired Dallas Firefighter who lives in Quinlan who, I'm 99% sure, would be more than happy to help you store those tools, free of cost, if you were to somehow come into possession of them . . . . . js :heartbeat:

Yessssss! This is exactly what I was thinking . . . . if their auto insurance policy was in both names (most likely, in fact, required, I believe in Texas) AND the auto insurance policy paid off the lien . . . it makes sense that the title was reissued in both of their names and that allowed...

I feel pretty certain that with regards to the truck title (and this idea was actually mentioned in the petition) there was most likely a clause in their insurance policy which would have fully paid the lien in the event of death. It would make perfect sense as to why the title was reissued...

I nearly choked when I saw that case law cited . . . . I was reading about a COMPLETELY different case, in a COMPLETELY different county, that I would never had dreamed had any kind of connection to good ol HC. :maddening: But in other news, I learned a lot tonight, by browsing sm. ETA - It...

Funny you should mention this! I JUST NOW learned of a case in 2010 in HC where the HC DA asked for and WAS PROVIDED WITH a recording of a conversation between someone in their jail and that person's attorney! Ultimately the DA recused himself and a special prosecutor from the Texas AG office...

It's an elected office . . . . so there will NEVER be an "outsider" voted in. :(

Maybe a social media blitz tagging HCSO on the various social media platforms demanding updates on the case . . .?

I believe the question was actually regarding the 11 y/o son of JC and his relationship with his grand*mother* (BC)...how is it now? How was it before?

Was it ever proved/disproved that MC made another stop after Wal? Whoever came up with the "we believe whatever happened to him happened between 12:00-3:00 theory" must have thought that he drives REALLY, reeeeeaally slow because it's definitely not an hour long drive back to their house from...

I am also SUPER new, (first post) . . . and still trying to get fully caught up on all 4 previous threads. I wanted to say, in re: to visitors at the HC jail. The inmates do not have to put people on a "visitor list". If you knew the visiting hours, and wanted to attempt to speak to anybody...
