It looks like the discussed map in the JS article was put together by another party, but presumably JS procured this image personally for this piece? I don't knowing anything about JS's credentials and reputation as a journalist - In this context The Age's article seems informative as it gives...
This is perhaps one of the better articles that I have read on this case to date.
I was under the impression that the location of GL (allegedly) doing a 30-point turn was at the gate up the hill, north of RL & CC's campsite - Just before the Wonnangatta track meets with Riley's Track. Possibly...
IMO I tend to agree that the bodies were either not originally placed at the root ball location, or if they were the alleged has returned to tamper with the scene of the crime later. "Bone Fragments" is very telling. Keeping in mind that we the public still don't know for sure yet whether GL...
If we assume that there is a bread crumb trail of metadata putting GL at the scene of the crime as seems to be the case, this lends the thought that it was not premeditated.
Imo Anybody who leaves their device location active whilst committing a premeditated crime is both extremely arrogant...
Bodies of missing campers found
Near Providence Spur Track. Perhaps this trail was chosen as it terminates on the hill ridge and is not a thoroughfare i.e. not somewhere one would drive through to get from point A to B. Less traffic except for only the more adventurous among the 4wd community (imo)
Hi, Motomike. Your insight here is much appreciated! There seems to be an absence of any reports of gun-fire being heard in the vicinity of the valley on the evening in question. I've personally never fired a weapon, but have often gone for bush walks on the outskirts of Perth, up in the Darling...
As there seems to be no official word publically on whether a confession has been made yet, I wonder whether LE are searching particular areas based on educated guesses?
Perhaps LE have gone out there in similar conditions after dark to retrace possible path of the alleged on the night RH and...
IMO in particular with the photo of GL standing in the water, he looks weather-beaten and quite flushed / with long term sunburn. If I was to guess what he did without knowing anything about him by this photo alone, I would have guessed a truck driver.
I wonder how recently that photo of GL...
To my understanding, pilots are trained to respond to particular incidents and circumstances to a degree that when problems arise in real world, they almost always know (like a well-rehearsed play script) the required actions and react accordingly.
This particular pilot may very well have the...
Re. The camp site, there was no mention of blood being found on the ground / vehicle / equipment, was there? If Russell and Carol met foul play as seems the likely scenario, perhaps blunt force was used to render them both unconscious.
Perhaps (less likely imo) they were suffocated in their...
Has it been confirmed whether the trailer rego plate in the released image was intentionally greyed out digitally (in which case we can assume that the rego is already known to LE) or was it already illegible due to being covered by the driver deliberately / covered by mud etc?
Ambushing them in their sleep could explain the burnt-out campsite and missing sleeping bags. The missing car keys most likely being in Russell's pocket or in the tent besides where he layed.
I wonder if the car & its doors were checked for fingerprints.
I can't imagine how the families of the victims must feel right now, especially the Spiers although they were likely anticipating such a verdict.
Interesting how Edwards still seems steadfast in denial, as if he feels that maintaining the 'innocent man' guise may help him play the appeal card...
The accused lives/lived two doors down from Dianne, as can be seen in the 9news report video. The property was last sold in July '93. He was in the process of moving out when he was apprehended.
I wonder if the accused was already a POI in the Victoria case? In an article dating back to 2007, (...
