Polygraphs are junk science. it simply does not matter how many or when TT passed these or not.
That being said I dont believe he did this in a typical jealous rage type killing. he probably knows more about a motive and people involved than he has told though.
This case reminds me of the Stephanie Crowe case in Escondido CA in 90ies. it is simply incredible that such vicious atracks could have happened with siblings and parents sleeping through the attack a couple feet away.
This is great that this has been finally formally solved.
But remember, VA LE had Wilmer by the balls in the late 80ies and let him go after he passed a polygraph. Another strong reminder that this has always been junk science!
What a wild and bizarre story.
What confuses me most is the description of Gagnon's death. Apparently he was with a GF of his, went to another room in her home and a gunshot was heard next. How the hell can LE not safely determine whether this was a murder or suicide under these circumstances?!
What a mess of a case!
Is the layout of the Crowe house known? where were the other bedrooms located?
is it really believeable that such a brutal murder could be commited without anyone waking up in the house? And by a manical meth addict of all people? this guy had been reported for...
In the Gone Cold Podcast the host also tried to sell that the Letter was 100% mailed from SS and any other suggestion would be BS.
Maybe it is, but the Throckmorton (of all places) connection with TT's property is certainly baffling....
True Crime Garage has a 4 Part Podcast on these murders out recently. Definately one of the more lengthy coverages of this case, but I have not listened to all parts to check if there is any new info or a mere drawn out rehash.
I would not be so pessimistic that this will never be solved; Also leadership of TPD may change and they may become more engaged and commited to solve this in the future. Stranger things have happened. however it gets more and more unlikely that the perp will be brought to trial. Someone who...
That was nice, thank you!
Here's the link mentioned above (I hope its ok to post). It does have some additional photos of her I have not seen anywhere else:
