Is there a proper source for this finding? can this Canadian guy be placed at the Lodge/Park?
I read a couple times that a murder for hire plot is suspected by Mrs Murphy's husband and that she got the worst beatings and defecated on. This makes no sense, if killers were hired to murder all 3...
This is an interesting and baffling case, mostly due to the phone calls 3-4 months after her disappearance. Unfortunately the old articles above are no longer online. It would be interesting to read the April 17th edition that mentions the call to her parents apparently.
"Eventually, she made...
The fact that he was apparently kept alive for a couple days and the very possible connection to the Eugene Kvit case make me believe there was something really sinister going on here.
I do not think this is a case where some kid accidently overdosed at a party and his peers panicked and hid...
I predict thats all you'll ever from LE reg. the CPM. They are likely sure Wilmer did it all and LE knows they screwed up in period by letting him off the hook. So they have no interest in constant publicity for the CPMs. Sad.
Sorry, Im not following....where does it say that they narrowed it down?
DNA from the Walkowitz case still exists and it seems like they have a decent suspect. But why hasnt it been compared yet? The guy had been in jail for child rape ffs.....whats stopping LE from getting his DNA and testing it?!
Ted Bundy killed the Lyon Sisters? This is the stuff that gets online sleuthing a bad name tbh...
As for Welch, I find his confession and conviction far from convincing. You have to give credit to the detectives that revived this case and at least tried to rectify what had been missed the...
These are all excellent questions! If the story that she travelled to CA to find (visit?) her father was true, then she might still be alive somewhere. I guess LE could shed a lot of light in this case if a genuine effort had been made to trace her father...it sounds like she was picked up by LE...
There is frustratingly little information about this case. Also what's the deal that she went missing exactly on NYE 1977? there must be more to that story....or is it an arbitrary date, because the exact date is not known when she was last seen?!
There is a well-known high profile suspect in those Clarkston-Lewiston cases... does the above description match that suspect? can the brown Van be connected to him?
Here's the first part (and all 7 of them if you search)

The Nancy Grace podcast....the host is terrible. very hard to listen to for me, I felt sorry for Mr. Wilson that he had to put up with that to get attention to the case.
Texas Gone cold is much more pleasant to listen to and is a good overview. He does not go far out with speculation either.
The problem with explaining it as a stranger abduction will always be the letter.
I also doubt LE would describe mall security as "someone they knew and trusted" but I wouldnt put much stock in that statement anyway.
New book out on this case specially focusing on the coverup of Chris Busch as suspect in this case.
Preview of several chapters in the link below:
Guarded by jackals
is the theory that a local college Professor (since deceased) is responsible still seriously considered?
