Australia AUSTRALIA - 4YO AUGUST (GUS) Missing from rural family home in Outback, Yunta, South Australia, 27th Sept 2025

This is interesting. Hopefully leads to a breakthrough… https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-10-07/significant-aerial-search-for-missing-boy-gus-police-say/105861608

Australia AUSTRALIA - 4YO AUGUST (GUS) Missing from rural family home in Outback, Yunta, South Australia, 27th Sept 2025

Yes understood - it was reported that the homestead is 40km south west of Yunta town, although that’s just a milk run in the outback (eg the driveway alone is 25 km long, although I am not sure if that is part of the 40km or not). Not sure where I’m going with this, just coincidental, but was...

Australia AUSTRALIA - 4YO AUGUST (GUS) Missing from rural family home in Outback, Yunta, South Australia, 27th Sept 2025

Coincidental I’m sure, but I discovered a big charity outback car rally passed through Yunta that weekend… twice from the look of the route map. https://lunchboxrally.com.au/the-event/

Australia AUSTRALIA - 4YO AUGUST (GUS) Missing from rural family home in Outback, Yunta, South Australia, 27th Sept 2025

Still thinking of little Gus. I hope he and his family get closure soon. I assume his people and the locals are still out looking and eventually one day we will find out what happened, where he wandered away to. Did he wander away some distance, then got bitten by a brown snake and succumbed...

Australia AUSTRALIA - 4YO AUGUST (GUS) Missing from rural family home in Outback, Yunta, South Australia, 27th Sept 2025

Good question kiwi50 - anyone know how the thermal imaging helicopter in the night would distinguish between all the sheep on the sheep station, and a kid about the size of a sheep?

Australia AUSTRALIA - 4YO AUGUST (GUS) Missing from rural family home in Outback, Yunta, South Australia, 27th Sept 2025

Yes - and a statement from police to clarify might help reduce speculation “we have identified everyone present at the time of Gus’s disappearance, there were x family members and y staff on the station at the time and they have all assisted with enquiries, have been ruled out as persons of...

Australia AUSTRALIA - 4YO AUGUST (GUS) Missing from rural family home in Outback, Yunta, South Australia, 27th Sept 2025

Hi All, So sad reading about Gus. This is a very interesting and heartbreaking situation, I have been tracking the news all week hoping for good news but it seems to have evolved into something more unfortunate now. It all seems quite odd to me. It would be good to get more input and...

Thanks SouthAussie, and apologies. Yes I’d seen lots and lots of debate so far about whether or not the accused may have been caught on CCTV - but I was thinking it was more speculation - I totally missed the MSM link, maybe due to paywall. Perhaps others did too, so hopefully helpful to repost.

Hi all, linking a paywalled article that was just brought to my attention. This was published on March 9th (after accused arrested) from a reputable local print newspaper the Herald Sun...

Bearbear, this is a sound theory, if it’s not the car accident & cover up theory I outlined yesterday then IMO it will be something along these lines. IMO, in my version of this theory I can’t see another person being involved in the incident (police said they are not looking for anyone else)...

Answered above as others have same question, which is a fair question. I’m thinking the group started the night and finished the night (after the club closed ar 3am) at the same house, where the vehicle was. Partied till dawn. Or maybe crashed on a couch for a few hours. And then the accused...

I’m guessing GF went home earlier, and the boys kicked on IMO. Certainly that’s how the benders I was involved in usually played out. The girls tire of all the testosterone and go home to bed. But not always… I do wonder if GF has somehow worked things out over the following weeks and assisted...

I also wonder if this is what happened, and/or perhaps the “deliberate act” is driving under influence and hence deliberately acting without care for others safety. It could be the case I think when all is said and done. But in arriving at my theory I’m taking guidance from Trooper who’s sage...

Hi Dotta, I hear you but think it would be quite normal to start a bender off at a mates house - everyone drives there, has a few beers, maybe rack up a few “lines” in the privacy of a private home. Put on a few dance tunes to fire everyone up. We’d call it warm ups back in the day. Then head...

So a moment of clarity for me then, as while elaborate theories are good reading, things are usually a lot simpler and more mundane “for real life” as Bluey would say. IMO what went down went something along these lines: 1. On 3rd Feb the accused went on an all night bender, leaving his...
